Reality is great, but I like giving it a little tweak -- improvising with color, streamlining shapes and weaving playful patterns.  Unfolding with a life of its own, each painting is a journey and a joy!

 Bay Area painter Nancy Roberts is a working artist, art instructor and retired architect.  Her paintings in oil, acrylic, pastel and watercolor are in public and private collections across the country.  She is a signature member of the Pastel Society of the West Coast. Career highlights have included the Carmel Art Festival, the Frank Bette Plein Air Paint-Out in Alameda, ten years at the Scene on the Strait in Martinez and two solo exhibits at the Antioch Lynn House Gallery.
