Reality is great, but I like giving it a little tweak -- improvising with color, streamlining shapes and weaving playful patterns. Unfolding with a life of its own, each painting is a journey and a joy!
Bay Area painter Nancy Roberts is a working artist, art instructor and licensed architect. She is a signature member of the Pastel Society of the West Coast and is represented by Valley Art Gallery in Walnut Creek, California. Her paintings in oil, acrylic, pastel and watercolor are in public and private collections across the country. Highlights have included the Carmel Art Festival, the Frank Bette Plein Air Paint-Out in Alameda the Scene on the Strait in Martinez and two solo exhibits at the Antioch Lynn House Gallery. Nancy offers individual and group art lessons for students of all ages, as well as workshops, demonstrations, critiques and jurying. Painting commissions are also welcome.
